The way she fights with her staff is more of self defense type, since she just tries to think of how her Avatars fight in other MMOs she plays.

Emily grew up as an only child of a well-off family, moving to Japan around her Elementary years. Being a foreign student with no friends, she was instantly bullied by her fellow school mates. The bullying went on for many weeks until Eri Satou, a girl a year older than Emily, defended her. It took awhile for Emily to overcome her shyness, but they eventually became friends. Eri defended her so much that Emily grew to depend on her, feeling like the older girl was the sister she never had. Because of their similar looks, they were often mistaken for actual sisters.
Around middle school, Emily developed the common traits among her generation; One of them being the love of technology. For the longest time she played various games, starting with PSP and DS games, moving on to PC (and emulator) games, and eventually starting on Virtual Reality. She stumbled upon Lullaby Moon when she was searching for good quality (mostly free) games. Curious about the game and unable to do "research" on it since it was new at the time, she decided to take a chance and try playing Lullaby Moon.
About two years passed since she had found the game, and although the activity has considerably died down in-game she still found herself logging on whenever she could so that Clarity, her Pheous, wouldn't be alone. Part of the reason why she went on so often is because her Mother died a year after she started playing, leading to Emily going online often to distract herself from depression. Her Father, noticing his daughter "sleeping" more and more often, had to give her the condition that she could only play if she kept her grades up.
She accepted, throwing herself into anything that could distract her. She alternated between studying and playing so often that it became a habit. When Lullaby Moon suddenly gave an alert that they were going to be active again (after about a week or so of maintenance to update a few things), she couldn't be happier. It's been half a year since she really played, and she missed Clarity and the other players she had met there. As soon as the maintenance was finished (and after exams passed by, she could hear Eri scolding her if she didn't finish those first) she looked for her MoonPhase and booted up Lullaby Moon, closing her eyes as her mind drifted into the world of gaming.

Personality:
Aside from being Loyal, She is the opposite of her partner. She takes risks often and is extremely confident to the point that she is abit prideful. She likes people to know she’s there, and will only stop when Emily asks her to. Is also abit of a girly girl. If somehow separated from Emily, she tends to go into a panic mode and has to grasp her key pendant to focus somewhat properly.

Extra:
-Chose an Angel-like Pheous with the name “Clarity” because she had a cousin named Clarity. Her cousin had “the appearance of an angel but the personality of a devil”, which is why her Pheous ended up with its current appearance.
-The two curls on Emily's head move like animal ears- they react to her emotions. Emily added those by accident (She was probably thinking of some animals back in the waking world while creating her avatar...)
-When you first meet her, she will stutter a lot. If you’re still a stranger by the second meeting, she will not stutter but she will stay shy until she’s comfortable around you.
-In real life/Waking World, Emily wears glasses and her hair is more violet instead of blue.
-Emily is half-Filipino half-American.
-Emily’s MoonPhase is black, Some parts of it is a deep violet color. Her laptop is the opposite; It’s white and only one color.
-Her Pheous’ eyes are two colors (left eye the “typical” light blue of an angel, right eye the same color as Emily’s) to show that some people had a hidden side to them (Emily the “shy girl” everyone knows, and Emily the “talkative girl” that only her closest friends can see)
-She tends to alternate speaking three languages: English (Her first language), Tagalog (Rare because she doesn’t remember a lot of words), and Japanese (The language she’s been speaking the past years until the present)
-Although her Pheous is an “angel-like” character, Emily made Clarity’s her clothing a color that wasn’t pure white, as it was meant to show that you can’t judge people by their appearances.
-The silver key necklace around Clarity’s neck is something that sort of reminds Emily to concentrate. The hoop earring is well, more for appearances xD
-Clarity will be in Chibi form most of the time, but when in battle she will look more like a normal “human” angel. Or at least, she’ll try to. She seems to have difficulty remaining in her more "human" form.
-Clarity calls Emily "Emi-sama". It seems to be a sign of respect towards Emily, her partner.
-Jokingly, Clarity could be called an "Angel of Death" because she's an "angel" and uses a Scythe

Emily looked around, disoriented. Her Pheous, Clarity, flew around her, obviously enjoying herself. It was the exact opposite of how Emily felt- Nervous and afraid. She wished she knew what to do first. Mini quests kept appearing, bothering her even more than her energetic Pheous’ giggling. She wondered why she decided to make an Angel-like character in the first place, since Angels were something she definitely didn’t feel like. Emily was the “extra”, the quiet girl in class… who would notice someone like her?
"Emi-samaaa" Clarity, in chibi form, sat on top of Emily's shoulder as she spoke "Which way are we going today~?"
"Oh, um..." Emily blinked a few times, reminding herself that this was no place to let her thoughts drift "Let's... let's go to the shop to buy a few things first, then we'll fight some monsters outside alright?"
"Okay!" Clarity hummed happily, reverting back to her normal form to continue flying around Emily. The blue-haired girl looked at her partner fondly before starting to walk towards the nearest shop to buy some supplies before they train.
